On the road again...
by James GraysonThe classic fall road trip usually involves football, festivals, or foliage. In my case, it involves the FAA. For a variety of reasons I have been traveling to a variety of places. I have noticed something consistent with them all. Ever so slightly, I am noticing people starting to relax just a little. Not wholesale changes but small, incremental modifications of attitude and behavior.
Follow up:
People from all roles are beginning to work together for the common good...to find common ground....and to make this agency a better place to work. It takes courage to be the first one to reach out in the name of healing. I encourage you, whoever you are and whatever your position, to be the first to do so in your workgroup. Everyone in a given facility, district, or office has something of value to contribute. I challenge everyone to find your own strengths and to recognize the strengths of others.
As for me, I will be reaching out at a variety of locations over the next month, the first of which is the FAAMA conference in Las Vegas next week. My office, Organizational Effectiveness, will be on-site as an exhibitor. We will be there as part of the Strategy and Performance group with several of our sister offices. If you will be at the conference, I encourage you to come by and say hello and pick up our handouts. I would love the opportunity to meet you or to catch up with old friends.
If your fall road trip takes you elsewhere, safe travels!
