I gave my employees the briefing last week and one of them brought up a good point. He felt that having nexgen for email and nextgen for the avaiation system is very confusing. Is there any possibility of changing the email systems roll-out name? There are a lot of Nextgen/Nexgen programs being rolled out around the country. It might be a good idea to have only one per agency.

At the facility level here at Waco ATCT, the communication is good. HOWEVER, the information reaching us is usually behind by 6 months due to poor communication from the tier(s) above. We had a new hire/ transfer show up the day after we were notified they were arriving. We have had a new hire show up without being notified they were coming. We have been asked to provide overtime coverage on midshifts, when we are closed, for ERAM testing the week before the tests when it was known 6 months prior they would be needed. Fix the communication to the smaller facilities and it may help the agency with their goals. Also, it would not hurt to ASK instead of demanding. The old saying about flies and vinegar should be concidered.
